Warren "Weepy" Lee

Warren “Weepy” Lee, age 78, was born on October 10, 1946 in Garyville, La. He was the beloved son of the late Morris and Olivia Lee Sr. He was a native of Garyville, La and a resident of Gretna, La until his illness brought him to the Southern Veteran Home in Reserve, La where he resided until his death March 12, 2025. He entered his resting place on that date at about 7:00 a.m. Hebrews 9:27 says, “as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” He was baptized in the year of 1971 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Marrero, La under the leadership of Pastor Haywood Custard. Warren loved everybody and every new face he encountered was “his friend.” He was educated in St. John Parish School System. He attended Fifth Ward High Schoo.l He joined the military in 1966. While in the military he was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge, an Army Commendation Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1 OS Dars, and MKM (Rifle M-14.) Warren worked at McDermott and various other places. Warren as we know would give you the shirt off his back. While he was battling his illness he would bless you when you came to visit him. Warren was very free-hearted, a cheerful giver, and friendly to those who knew him. He enjoyed clipping newspaper articles and pictures where he would hang them on his wall “Hall of Fame.” He loved personalized hats and shirts and would even order the same hats and shirts for his family members and friends. Everyone that knew Warren had nice things to say about him, especially his military friends at the veteran home. His legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind some of that legacy of love and cherished memories for his siblings: Ernestine (Arizona) Batiste, Ruthie (Bobby) Turner, Calvin (Gaynell) Lee, Jackie (Burnell) Scott, Shynethia Parker, Nathan Lee, Corey Lee, and the late Morris, Michael, and Rosenell. With a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends of the family, pastors, officers, members of Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church, and all other neighboring churches. Visitation is Saturday, March 29, 2025 for 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Worship service is 11:00 a.m. at Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1020 Cohen St, Marreo, LA 70072. Host: Pastor A.
