JaKobe Cameron Brumfield

JaKobe "Self-Made” Brumfield was born into the world on April 9. 2005. in Hammond /Louisiana. He was the youngest son of Ms. Tashika Brumfield and Jerrod Wilson. JaKobe was a bright light to all who knew and loved him, and his presence will forever be cherished. JaKobe was educated in the Tangipahoa Parish School System and proudly graduated from Hammond High School in May o f 2023. He was known for his warm spirit, loving heart, and the special way he connected with family, friends, and his community. JaKobe enjoyed playing video games with his brother and friends, loved basketball, trips to Topgolf, and playfuly spending time with his older brother. He shared a close and loving bond with his mother, cherishing moments spent watching movies together, going to the park, playing board games, and enjoying time with his cousins. He shared an especially close relationship with his cousin, Jada Brumfield, with whom he d just about everything. Their bond was truly special-playing games together, talkir 1 the phone constantlv. JaKobe also had a meaningful bond with his father, particularly when it came to shopping for clothes and shoes—moments that reflected their shared connection and love. His faith was important to him, and he held a special relationship with his pastor, Reverend Jerry Hannibal. JaKobe made it a point to speak with his pastor after church, reflecting his respect, faith, and genuine character. JaKobe shared a deep and loving relationship with his sister, Tyavia Brumfield. They were very close, and she always made sure to kiss him, lovingly calling him "KooB" and referring to him as her baby—a bond filled with affection, protection, and unconditional love. JaKobe was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Lillie Mae Thomas; his grandfather, Joseph Michael Thomas; his uncle, Charles "Hully Gully" Brumfield; his great-uncle, Joseph "Joe" Kelly; and his cousins, Brian Keith Chester and Jarvis " Мас - Mac" Kelly. JaKobe leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Tashika Brumfield; his father, Jerrod Wilson; his sister, Tyavia Brumfield; his brother, Justin Brumfield; other siblings: Jeremiah Austin, Jalacia Wilson, Janiya Cousain, Ayana Warren, Shemar Miller, McKinley Cotton, Deon Brumfield, Jyren Brumfield; uncle Joseph Kelly; his cousin, Jada Brumfield and cousin Brian Keith Chester; his grandmothers, Judy Brumfield and Linda Wilson; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold him in their hearts. JaKobe's life, though far too brief, was filled with love, laughter, meaningful relationships, and memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
