Mrs. Dorothy Jean Campbell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy Jean Campbell was born to the union of the late Isaac and Annie Mae Campbell on May 13, 1952, in Ripley, Tennessee but was raised in Amite, Louisiana. She passed away quietly and peacefully on May 9, 2022. Dorothy was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 7, 1987, and she served as an Auxiliary Pioneer for 35 years. Dorothy loved serving Jehovah with all her heart. She was very passionate about sharing her love by diligently going out in field service and sharing her passion through bible studies and phone witnessing. When the pandemic came, Dorothy continued to encourage others through avid group bible readings and discussion in an effort for every to stay uplifted and encouraged in the faith through tough times. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was a single mother of 4 children and a homemaker; besides her spirit family, she loved her children, grandchildren, and sibling very much. She was very family-oriented and cherished each relationship with everyone in both her families; she leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children; Angela (Frederick) Campbell Green, Shalynda Denise Campbell, Ericka Shava Campbell, Tiffany (Robert) Louisa Campbell-Dowell; nine grandchildren of which only one is a grandson, Asia Green, Kameron Campbell, Zaria Campbell, Kayla Campbell, Zena Campbell, Haliee Campbell, Mackenzie Campbell, Catalina Campbell, and Paiytn Campbell; two great-grandchildren, Cecila Campbell and London Campbell. Dorothy is the second oldest of 9 children with six living brothers and sisters. Three brothers, George (Tabitha) Campbell, Isaac (Dorothy) Campbell, and Kenneth (Valerie) Campbell, as well as three sisters, Delores (Jules) Strickland, Martha (Ronald) Johnson, and Mary (Tommy) Watkins. She is preceded in the death of two sisters, Emma Brown and Pamela Moore, and one brother, Donald Renea Campbell.
