Destiny Majea Bazile Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Destiny Majea Bazile was born May 16, 2003, in New Orleans, La. to Dan Pinestraw & Delya Bazile. She was granted her angel wings on July 2, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and friends in constant prayers. Her life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understands that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Destiny was reared by her grandmother Gloria D. Walker who instilled deep and profound spiritual values. Even though she experienced challenges in school and at home she did not stray away from the teachings of her loving grandmother. Destiny was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Wilbard Jones at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Tickfaw, La. She remained a member until her untimely death, under the leadership of Pastor Monroe Jones. Destiny attended Nesom Middle School in Tickfaw, La. She loved singing, skating, going to the movies, being with her friends and hanging out at the mall with her cousins. She enjoyed being a member of the Sunbeam Youth Choir and attending Sunday School. Destiny leaves to cherish her memories, her loving Guardian/Grandmother, Gloria D. Walker of Albany, La; her mother, Delya Bazile of New Orleans, La.; her father Dan Pinestraw of Albany, La.; eleven brothers, Anthony Thomas, Darion Thomas, Tyriq Harris, Devin Pinestraw, DeAndree Pinestraw, Earl Johnson Jr., Kailon Dillon of Albany, La,; Desmond Bazile, Simon Bazile, Vernell Bazile & Khalil Bazile of New Orleans, La.; six sisters, Nijah Dillon of Hammond, La.; Cherrie Bazile, Alexsis Bazile, Sim'meon Bazile, Angela Bazile & Altonesha Holloway of New Orleans, La.; several aunts & uncles, Emma (Bendrick) Spikes, Ethel (Louis) Perry, Rosa (James) Scott, Maryann Walker, Sharley (Tiffany) Walker, Antenett Watkins, Lynette (Jermaine) Brumfield, Marquita Stimage, Howard (Tanya) Watkins, Kimberly (James) Henderson and a host cousins and friends.
