Pariee Michelle Buckley

Pariee' Michelle Laws-Buckley, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, entered eternal rest on Thursday June 12, 2025, at the age of 56. Michelle was born in Chicago, Illinois. Michelle was reared by her parents C.B. & Ruby Laws in Magnolia, Mississippi. Michelle grew up to become a fierce young woman who stood strong in her faith. Her dedication was very strong towards education and anything she put her mind to. Michelle attended South Pike and Franklin County School District. Michelle earned her High School Diploma from the Franklin County School District, she continued her education at Alcorn State University, There, she earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education and Philosophy. Michelle was an advocate for Mental Health. She cultivated a passion for understanding the need to raise awareness for mental health and nurturing the hearts and minds of others simultaneously. She continued her profession in the mental health field as a Behavioral Analyst in Chicago, Illinois, and Louisiana. Michelle retired after years of hard work and dedication. Michelle was preceded in death by her father and mother C.B. and Ruby Laws, her Mother-In-Law Cora Sue Hill-Buckley, Aunt Bythella B. Andrews and Uncles Melvin Bryant Sr., Carl Bryant Sr., & Roscow Bryant, & her favorite cousin Katiffany S. Andrews. Michelle loved to garden and enjoy the outdoors. Her home remains surrounded by plants with leaves that branch across the room. She took the passion for growing plants from her mother Ruby Laws. Her faith guided her at a young age, where she began her spiritual walk with Christ at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Later she became a faithful member of Faith, Hope, and Fellowship Church. Michelle continued to show her dedication regardless of her circumstances. Michelle loved her family deeply and did her best to show it in all that she did. On April 14, 2001, Michelle married the love of her life, Johnny Buckley. Together they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. She is survived by her husband, two beloved sons; Jonathon (Sabreen) Blackburn and Shemar (Alexcia) Buckley, and her greatest joy—her grandchildren: Ja’Khristian Blackburn, Saniyah Blackburn, and Elijah Buckley, whom all reside in Louisiana. Michelle leaves to cherish her legacy her biological mother Elouise Young and siblings: James and Debrah, her Goddaughters Roshunna Buckhanan, Arianna Huff, & Da'Tesha Womack, her father-in-law Johnnie Buckley, Brother and Sister-in-Law Ronald Buckley and Carolyn Buckley-Romero, her Uncle Lawrence Bryant and her cherished aunts: Louise Gavien and Carolyn Robinson. Her legacy continues through her devoted nieces: Wynesia Carson, Anastasia Carson, Wydric Carson, Lyric Strickland, Kaylee Brown, and Kamryn Brown. as well as a host of cousins, friends, and relatives. Michelle found her greatest happiness in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her laughter, warmth, and presence lit up every room. She loved her family fiercely and was the light in every room she walked in. She loved the Lord with all her heart and continued to radiate with strength, perseverance, and love. Pariee ' Michelle Buckley will forever be known for her unwavering strength, especially in her final moments and the overwhelming love she had for those around her. Michelle will be remembered for her radiant smile, her giving heart, and her enduring love—a legacy that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
