Meleke Quintron Lewis

Meleke Quintron Lewis, affectionately known as “LEKEE”, age 29, of River Ridge, Louisiana, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was born on August 9, 1996, at University Hospital, New Orleans, Louisiana, to Monique Lewisand Steve White. Meleke completed his much-too-short lap around the sun, leaving a profound impact on all who loved him.His Talents and Spirit He received his formal education within the Jefferson Parish Public School system and proudly went on to obtain his G.E.D. in 2014. A man of many talents, he possessed an exceptional aptitude for technical trades and was highly skilled across various sectors. He was incredibly resourceful and industrious; as his family fondly recalls, he could land a newjob "quicker than a bunny can hop." Among his many skills, he had a true passion for cooking, a gift he regularly shared to bring joy to those he loved. His joy and passion Meleke embraced life through his many hobbies and a genuine love for people. He looked forward to football seasons, loved mastering new skills in the kitchen, and deeply valued quality family time. With an innate desire for learning and a sharp mind for technology, he found great relaxation in simply playing his favorite video games. Meleke left a lasting impression on everyone he assisted with his helpful heart, but his greatest love was reserved for his children; most of all, he loved his kids. His Enduring Legacy Meleke brought immense light and joy to everyone who knew him, and his greatest legacy lives on through his kids. He leaves to cherish his memory his “three beloved sons”; Meleke Lathers, Makhi Johnson, and Toryn M. Jones; his loving mother, Monique A. Lewis; his father, Steve White; his two brothers, Steve Cole and Ricky Eskridge; his sister, Edniayah Gibson. His grandmother, Stella White; his grandfather, Steven Lewis Sr. (Coretta); his great-grandfather, Ernest Turner Jr.; his great-uncle, Ernest Turner III; his uncles, Torrey Hackett, and Terry White, Brian Harvey, Chris Stiebing, Montrell Stiebing, and Steven Lewis Jr.; his aunts, Robina Key and Kizmet Key; his two devoted great- aunts, Sandra Bell and Delicia Robinson; his 2 great-great aunts, Rose Marie Ranton and Lydia Hampton. Meleke also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and close friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jocelyne Stiebing; his great-grandmother, Georgiana Lewis; his great-great-grandmother, Beatrice Ranton; his great-grandfather, Carlton Lewis; great- great-grandfather, Morris Ranton, his aunt, Alicia Lewis; his uncles, Steve Williams and Domonique Stiebing; and his grandfathers, Steve Turner and Terry T. Dooly
